Welcome to Two Wells Primary School
"Making Tomorrow a part of Today"
Welcome to Our School
Thank you for the opportunity to share with you, through these web pages, information about our school.
Two Wells Primary School is a medium sized primary school, in a semi-rural area north of Adelaide, South Australia. Our school has a proud history of providing high quality education since 1865. The original school was located in the main street of Two Wells until a new school was established and opened in 1979. The 2009 BER project saw the building of a new school gym and library, both officially opened in 2010, as well as School Pride funding which allowed us to give the original buildings a more modern look. In 2014 the old school hall was refurbished. The new facilities provide many opportunities for exciting learning
Our school motto, ‘Making Tomorrow a part of Today’, as well the school values of Respect, Responsibility and Persistence, reflect the spirit of our school. At Two Wells Primary School we are committed to a culture of learning for the future, in a safe, caring success oriented environment. We place great importance on developing positive partnerships with our school community by being friendly and approachable, and valuing and encouraging family involvement in their child's education.
The school has a strong focus on wellbeing, literacy and numeracy. ICT is embedded across the curriculum with access to two fully equipped computer rooms, interactive whiteboards in all classes and iPads. We also provide support programs to identified students who need additional support to meet individualised literacy and numeracy goals, as well as programs to support social and emotional wellbeing.
The Australian Curriculum is taught R-7 by all classroom teachers with some overlap in Reception with the Early Years Learning Framework. Specialist teachers deliver Japanese, Health, PE and Science to all students R-7.
Parents and teachers share responsibility for the education of children; therefore Two Wells Primary School values parent participation. We encourage parents to support in classrooms, become members of the Parents and Friends and/or Governing Council or volunteer in other areas such as the Canteen, Library or Learning Assistance Program.
We look forward to working with you and your child.
